The three of us (Linden, Nina & Andrew) started working together in 2012 and we’ve never looked back. We spent a couple of years managing award-winning events and technology-based projects in various settings around Australia, usually with a BYOD element. Getting a good connection for our events was an expensive headache every time. We saw a need for a turnkey internet solution that would go anywhere.
In 2014, we created the first PopUp WiFi prototypes. They worked – really well – and we knew we were onto something.
Since then, we’ve been developing portable managed internet products so organisations of all types can access enterprise-grade connectivity wherever, whenever they need it. Our focus has been on event and production internet (because we love a challenge) and WiFi marketing. In 2017 we set up shop in LA. We’ve supported over 10,000 event days across the globe since 2014 and we’re just getting started.
Bubbling away in the background are IIOT (Industrial Internet Of Things), Crowd Management, end-to-end WiFi Marketing and software development projects. We’re working with brands, businesses, all levels of government, events, technology and Audio Visual partners around the world to develop a range of supporting products to help brands and business get their work done.
Early 2020 will see the launch of the new PopUp WiFi Enterprise range for small and medium enterprises. Incorporating all the R&D from our past 5 internet-obsessed years, the new range will give SMEs access to the kind of managed internet services that were once only for big business. By making quality internet available affordably and quickly, we level the playing field and expand the market.
Leveraging the power of WiFi Marketing and IOT will bring powerful returns to brands and business. Democratizing managed internet services will mean no organisation is too small to access reliable connectivity. This will help communities and our company to thrive.
